Two become one

The amalgamation between the CIPHE and the Institute of Domestic Heating and Environmental Engineers (IDHEE) is starting to gather pace and I am delighted to say that we have already been contacted by over 200 former members of IDHEE who are wishing to transfer their membership to CIPHE. A very warm welcome to those who are reading this today.

Like everything else we do, there is a clear purpose behind the decision. As far as the CIPHE is concerned, this alignment makes perfect sense, positioning the organisation to provide cross-sector discipline support, information and services to the industry.

This strengthening of the CIPHE’s heating-focused resources will provide further benefits to the CIPHE position on matters relating to the future of heat and the low- carbon agenda. This strategy directly relates to workshops at the November 2018 IADG meeting, during which more alignment and collaboration between industry representative bodies was one of the actions sought by members.
